4/16/2024 ​– Based on testimony gathered in 2023 from dozens of exiled Iranian journalists living in the United Kingdom, this report details the ways in which the Iranian government attacks and intimidates exiled Iranian journalists. Reporters Without Borders (RSF) also highlights key recommendations for the UK government, law enforcement, and social media platforms to adequately address this form of transnational repression.

5/12/2024 – Between 2018 and 2023, Amnesty International conducted in-depth interviews with 32 Chinese students who studied at universities in eight Western Europe and North America countries. These interviews reveal Chinese authorities' efforts to curtail academic freedom and other rights beyond their borders, and the actions taken to silence, control, or deter dissent and criticism by overseas Chinese students.

Freedom House's review of 608 direct, physical cases since 2014 offers insight into the various tactics of repression, the role of host governments as enablers, and the need for counter-measures to increase accountability and resilience.

3/1/2022 – Published in March 2022, this report by Citizen Lab examines the ways in which activists and dissidents living in Canada are impacted by digital transnational repression. The authors conclude that despite the serious impact of digital transnational repression on these communities, there is both little support for victims of targeting and insufficient policy efforts by the Canadian government.
